Transfer Allowance
Once you’ve selected your Fantasy Premier League squad, you can buy and sell players in the transfer market. Before the season begins, you can make unlimited transfers at no cost.
After the first Gameweek deadline, managers receive one free transfer each Gameweek. With this free transfer, you can replace a player in your squad of 15, as long as the change keeps you within the £100.0m budget. If you don’t use your free transfer, it rolls over, allowing you to have up to two free transfers the next Gameweek. You can continue rolling them over up to a maximum of five free transfers.
If you want to make extra transfers in a Gameweek beyond your free allowance, each additional transfer costs four Fantasy points.
How to Make a Transfer
To make a transfer, go to the “Transfers” page, click the “X” next to the player you want to sell, then select the replacement player from the “Player Selection” column. The new player must be in the same position as the one you’re selling (e.g., midfielder for midfielder) and fit within your budget. You can only have three players from any one Premier League club, so if you already have three, you won’t be able to add another player from that team.
Once you’ve selected your new player, click “Make Transfers” and then “Confirm Transfers.”
Player Prices
Player prices vary throughout the season based on how many managers buy or sell them. Highly popular players will increase in price, while those sold by many managers will decrease. However, prices remain fixed until the season starts.
Earning Profits on Player Sales
On the “Transfers” page, you’ll see the amount you would receive if you sell each player in your squad. This may differ from the player’s current market price because you only keep £0.1m of profit for every £0.2m increase in a player’s value.
For instance:
- If you bought a player for £5.0m and his price rises to £5.4m, you could sell him for £5.2m.
- If the same player’s price increased by only £0.3m, your selling price would be £5.1m.
- If his price rose by £0.1m, your selling price would remain at £5.0m.
The “List” view on the “Transfers” page offers a clear breakdown, showing the current price (CP), selling price (SP), and purchase price (PP) for each player.
